About me
Hi, I'm Zoey, currently a plan-based chef located in Manhattan and Dietetic Intern at Hunter College. I graduated with honor from NYU with a nutrition and global public health degree. Born and raised in Shanghai, China and well-travelled to 20 countries, I am an ultimate food person. Graduated from NYU with a nutrition and public health degree with departmental honor, I'M passionate about offering food that is delicious, nourishing, and interesting, while preserving the cultural aspects behind it. My Chinese background makes my food unique with the addition of Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy and the flavor profile from the East. My goal is to integrate traditional Chinese medicine, western nutritional science, culinary traditions, and wellness education.
Mostly a plant eater, I am is a little bored with the chia-pudding-avo-toast-matcha trend. At this moment, I'm "fighting against" this boredom with Table 81, where I focus on bringing traditional Chinese ingredients to NYC on a 8-seat wood table with a huge glass lazy susan on it (I'm serious). To me, it's a shame that these naturally vegan, nourishing, and delicious ingredients are unknown to many, so here I want to give them a chance to shine.
Other than all these, I'm a food blogger with 10k followers in China, a certified yoga teacher, and a very chill person. On this website, you can find my work and experiences. Thank you for reading. Taking time to read is good for you.
Let's work together
